About Eemyun Kang Korean born and trained, Kang emigrated to the UK to study Fine Art at the Slade School of Fine Art and later completed her postgraduate studies at the Royal Academy of Arts. Upon graduation in 2009 she was awarded the school's prestigious Gold Medal and in 2012 completed her doctoral degree. Having spent her mature career in London and Milan, Kang retains a sense of dislocation and explores this in her work with the notions of hybridity very evident. Widely exhibited in the UK and internationally, Kang has also shown with prestigious galleries; Kukje Gallery in Seoul, Tina Kim Gallery in New York and Timothy Taylor Gallery in London.
